Time: the timeline puts every entry into an epoch. Pick one and the worlds with something in that epoch light up; a dashed rim means: only roughly placed (the entry carries no date, the placement is an estimate).

A path is not a travel route: it shows which worlds occur together — in the order of the text or in the circle of a group. Pick one above under "Path" or in a world's panel.

A "×17" after a story means: the world is named 17 times in its text.

The map is schematic. A dot grows with its number of connections; a mention in the text of a story does not count towards it and colours nothing, it only appears in the panel.
