About

Anvil of War is a worldbuilding project about the Salamanders and their successor Chapters — invented Chapters, their worlds, their people and the stories attached to them. Bilingual, independent, and with no claim to being official.

What you will find here

  • The library — more than seventy stories, from half an hour to a full novel. Every one is readable online in full; audio versions exist where they exist.
  • Chapter dossiers — some fifty fully worked Chapters: founding, gene-seed, heraldry, paint recipe, campaigns, quirks. Plus regiments, machines, relics and worlds in the same form.
  • The glossary and the character index — nearly a thousand terms and several hundred people, kept bilingually, with origins and cross-references.
  • Atlas, story map and chronicle — where something lies, how the strands connect, in which order it happened.
  • Tools — Chapter generator, forge and name generator: if you build your own, you can start here.

How it is made

The worldbuilding is created with the support of artificial intelligence and is then reviewed, edited and checked against our own body of work — names, dates, allegiances. Where a document was made this way, it says so. That is not an embarrassment but the method: the machine writes fast and errs reliably; the checking is the actual work.

The same goes for canon. What comes from Warhammer 40,000 is marked as canonical; everything else is this project’s invention. Where the two meet — an invented world in a real Segmentum — we say so.

What we hold to

Anvil of War is an unofficial fan project. It sells no rules, no models and no licensed goods; it does not claim to be part of official canon.
