During the Heresy they destroy Prospero and hunt the Thousand Sons, losing the 13th Company in the Warp and missing the Siege of Terra. In the Scouring they fight further punitive wars and sponsor the short‑lived Wolf Brothers as a Second Founding successor. In M41/M42 they defend Fenris against Magnus, witness the return of the Wulfen, integrate Primaris Marines and see new Ultima successors such as the Wolfspear founded.

Successor Chapters / Warbands (Overview)

  • 2nd Founding: Wolf Brothers (homeworld Kaeriol, later disbanded due to severe gene‑seed instability and Wulfen‑like mutations). 3rd Founding: no clearly named successors. Later Primaris‑heavy successors with strong Space Wolves cultural ties: Wolfspear, Icefangs, Mooneaters.
