Deliverance (formerly Lycaeus), an airless prison and mining moon of domed cities orbiting the industrial world of Kiavahr; the Ravenspire fortress‑monastery crowns one of its superstructures, while Kiavahr provides industrial support.

Combat Doctrine(s)

  • Infiltration, reconnaissance, sabotage and fast shock strikes: scouts and Mor Deythan marksmen locate weak points, jump units and specialists destroy critical targets before the enemy reacts. Open massed fronts are avoided whenever possible.

Epochs & Role

In the Great Crusade a surgical strike force; in the Heresy almost wiped out at Isstvan V, followed by Corax’s guerrilla war and gene‑experiments. During the Scouring they wage a shadow war against traitors; after the Second Founding only a few successors (Raptors, Revilers, Black Guard) are created and Corax disappears into the Eye of Terror. In M41/M42 the Raven Guard and successors continue to serve as covert specialists, e.g. in the Damocles Gulf and on the Eastern Fringe.
