A Black Templars crusade oath that a brother has sworn with the rest and that can be neither fulfilled nor withdrawn, because the man in question is neither fallen nor present. It stands on the rolls without a name; all who swore it carry their share on as long as the crusade runs. The formula: "His oath remains open."
