Description

Thalassos is an ocean world on which almost 99% of the surface is covered by water. Shallow archipelagos and floating mega-rafts are the only “stable” habitats. The planet is shaped by extreme tidal movements caused by a dark brown gas giant (Thalassos Major), which dominates the planet in a chaotic orbit.

Fauna & Flora

Drifting kelp forests, fish shoals kilometres long, and tide-reavers that rise from the deep with the flood and vanish again with it.

Population & Society

People live on rafts and shallow islands whose communities draw together at spring tide and drift apart at low water. Land belongs to no one; property is what can be carried along. The Crimson Tide recruits from the raft clans, who name themselves after the water level at which they were born.
