Description
Ostravane holds the Convent Salinarum. It sits on a mountain of black basalt at the edge of a salt settlement older than the Imperial calendar, built around the ruins of a lighthouse from the Dark Age of Technology. The air there smells of salt and burning.

Fauna & Flora
Salt crusts, marram grass and black basalt; gulls that nest in the lighthouse and are drawn at night by the sisters' fire.
Population & Society
Some thousands of people in the salt settlement at the foot of the mountain, older than the Imperial Calendar, and a few hundred sisters in the Convent Salinarum. The settlers boil salt, the sisters tend the fire in the lighthouse; in the evening both count the ships that do not come.
