Description
Malachar Prime orbits an aging red giant in the Mordacis Sector, perpetually locked in a state of geological and meteorological fury. The world's primary continent is dominated by vast basalt rifts, sulfurous geysers, and crystalline structures that tower miles into a perpetually overcast sky.

Fauna & Flora
No plants in the fissures; on the crystal structures lies a red film that is barely visible in the light of the red giant. In the geyser basins live heat-loving crabs that die by the thousand in every eruption and are back the next year.
Population & Society
Some thousands of people in shelters beneath the basalt ridges; the settlements lie in the lee of the crystal towers and are evacuated before quakes, before they fall. The Shrouded Oath holds the world as a refuge and does not let the settlers be counted.
