Description

Khethara is a bone-dry agri world, mostly grain fields and salt plains, whose water lies deeper beneath the ground than it is worth building settlements for.
Home world of: Blood Talons (chapter).

Fauna & Flora

Bone-dry grain fields, salt crusts and thorns; lizards, scorpions and vultures that circle over the well villages, because people stay near water for long.

Population & Society

Some millions in well villages whose wells have to be dug deeper than the settlement is worth, and are dug all the same. The Blood Talons take their aspirants from the villages whose wells have held out longest.
