Karduk Prime was once an industrial world of Dark Age technology, whose surface structures collapsed under a meteorite bombardment twelve thousand years ago.

Fauna & Flora
Craters, metal rubble and lichens on concrete remains; wild pigeons nest in the ruins, and in the cooling marshes live blind newts that were here before the meteorites.
Population & Society
No closed population: small groups of scrap-gatherers in the ruins of Dark Age industry, some thousands in all. The Stonebreakers call the world their home; the gatherers call the Stonebreakers the guests who do not leave.
