Description
A Deathwatch watch station under the Ordo Xenos, eight hundred and seventeen years old; for nine of them no one has come. The station elder walks the station at intervals of no more than eight days and checks the state of the seals, the circuits and the vault. Not a world but a place; it is listed here so that the novel has its setting in the register.

None. The air circuits carry an algae culture older than the station elder, taken over from each of his predecessors like an office.

Forty-one people and nine brothers from nine different chapters; the service regulation forbids a concentration of the same origin, and the station elder records it in the roll and nowhere else. No relief has come for nine years.
