Description
Glacius Prime is an ice world at the very edge of habitable worlds, only three jumps from the Eye of Terror. The planet rotates on an elliptical orbit and passes through an ice age every four hundred years. It is currently on the verge of one; temperature in the equatorial regions: minus sixty degrees Celsius.

Fauna & Flora
Forests of frozen biomass, grey and brittle, crumbling to dust at a touch; beneath the ten-metre ice roof green algal seas with ice fish and krill that the settlers haul up through holes in the ice.
Population & Society
Communities that are strict not by decree but by survival: whoever warms, warms the community. The lye-boilers' guild, five hundred years old, boiled salt from the deep-frozen sea; with the 7th Glacius it was lost. Of the Pyre-Marked, who call the world their home, everyone in the southern zones knows someone who has seen them, and nobody who admits it.
