Fauna & Flora
Rust moss and mould in the casemates, rats in the cisterns. On the battlements of the upper levels the tyrants keep ornamental plants in iron tubs, watered daily and stolen at night.
Population & Society
Some millions, divided among levels, each of which knows its own warlord and none of which recognises the others. The Fleshrenders take their brothers from the lowest levels, where the price of life is lowest.
