Description

Askerhold was a temperate civilised world of twelve city-states, divided by high plateaus and salt lakes. On admission to the Imperium each city donated the heaviest vehicle it could afford, and so the twelve city tanks of the 1st Askerholder City-Tank Regiment came to be. In 701.M41 a warp rift opened above the world and it broke apart within three days. The Munitorum struck Askerhold from its lists. The cause has never been settled: the Cities hold several accounts, and none is official.
Home world of: 1st Askerholder City-Tank Regiment (regiment).
Invented for the cycle “The Twelve Cities” (stories 84 to 88), not GW canon. That Askerhold lay in the Segmentum Obscurus is an editorial assumption; the stories name no Segmentum.

Population & Society

Twelve city-states. What remained of the population lives in the wagon train and in the cities of the regiment: 3,813 people in 951.M41, 3,204 in 955.M41.
