Description
Ashenmarch is not a pleasant world. Where other frontier worlds are at least habitable — forest, steppe, rolling biomes — Ashenmarch is pure volcanic tactics. The southern continent, called Volcanus Tertius, consists of 73% active or semi-active volcanoes.

Fauna & Flora
On cooled slopes ash ferns and black bramble grow; goats and lava lizards graze where the slopes already bear again.
Population & Society
Some hundreds of thousands of settlers on the fringe continents that do not lie under volcanoes; the settlements stand in the lee of the mountains and are moved a little further after every eruption. The Inferno Ascendant recruit among the fire-wardens who watch the ash front.
