Description

Aethermoor is a shrine world full of volcanic ruins, scoured at midday by volcanic storms. On the plateau of Aethershade, one of the few spared stretches of land, stands the Convent of Saint Mina, built of black basalt from the Ash Chains. The Order of the Ashen Litany was founded here.

Fauna & Flora

Black basalt rock, fields of ruins and ash crusts. On the convent walls a grey-green lichen moss survives that the sisters call “litany moss” and scrape from the joints after the storms.

Population & Society

A few thousand inhabitants, almost all pilgrims, lay sisters and craftsmen in the service of the convent on the Aethershade plateau; nobody lives outside the spared stretches of land. The day is divided into two halves: before noon people build and pray, afterwards they wait.
