His mechadendrites are articulated with precisely calibrated servo-motors, each joint an expression of his mastery over the Corpuscarii doctrine. He wears the ring of his rank: a loop of solid gold—a decision that prompted whispers among the younger Electro-Priests, who saw the choice as vanity rather than piety. The ring conducts the current of the Omnissiah more perfectly than any ceramic or alloy; Velitus' answer to the criticism was to wear it. His artefact is the Coruscant Rod, a staff of twisted copper and silver that he carries only in the Colossus, used to direct the daily Litanei der Beleuchtung through the ring's primary power-grid. An anecdote from the Lexicanum records his response to the Inquisitor Saar: when asked directly whether Kaldrath studied xenos technology in violation of the Sixteen Universal Laws, Velitus answered, "The Universal Laws concern themselves with the purity of knowledge, Inquisitor. All knowledge is of the Omnissiah. Tell me which knowledge is impure, and I will correct it immediately." Saar had no answer prepared for that doctrine, and he left unsatisfied, but unable to act. His own words, spoken to his personal staff in the quarters assigned him: "To fear knowledge is to fear the Omnissiah Himself. I will not do so while breath moves through my lungs, and when breath fails, the current will move through my flesh instead."

Magos Explorator Cesris Vahn, Keeper of the Reliquiarium

Vahn is smaller than Velitus, compacted rather than augmented, his black robes of the Explorator caste trimmed in the ring's signature orange. He has retained more meat than most of his station—Vahn believes that the flesh, though weak, can still perceive truths that metal cannot. His left arm is entirely prosthetic, a servo-limb of burnished yellow-gold with three articulated fingers ending in tool-tips rather than hands. He carries a data-slate of obsidian-black metal, bound in cords of silver wire, which he has not put down in twenty-three years; it is said the slate contains the coordinates of every xenos artifact catalogued in the Reliquiarium, encoded in a cipher he alone can decipher. An anecdote: during the Inquisitor's audit, Vahn stood beside Saar in the outer Reliquiarium and watched him move through the curated collection. When Saar asked how many artifacts the ring held, Vahn answered, "Forty-seven thousand, three hundred and twelve items of classified xenological significance. You have access to seven hundred and nineteen of them." Saar pressed: "And the rest?" Vahn replied, "Remain subjects of ongoing study. When their theology is resolved, they will be made available for audit." Nothing more was said. His own words, chosen carefully: "The Omnissiah writes in languages we have not yet learned. To deny them entry into the archive is to close our ears to His voice."

Lexmechanic Gorvain, Master of the Noosphere

Gorvain is ancient, 167 years old by the calendar, his body a framework of titanium and ceramic held together by will and stimulant-infusions. His robes are the deep grey of the Lexmechanic caste, patched in orange at the shoulders and hem. His augmetics are crude by comparison to Velitus'—riveted plating, exposed hydraulic systems, cables that run visibly across his shoulders and down his spine—a deliberate aesthetic choice born from his era, when the ring's augmentation-forges produced function before beauty. He carries a brass astrolabe of his own design, used in the daily calibration of the ring's noospheric communication-arrays; it hangs from his neck on chains of copper wire, and it has fallen into disrepair—one quadrant is missing, replaced by a rough solder-patch that he refuses to have properly restored. He was present when the Inquisitor Saar departed, and he alone walked with Saar to the docking-bay. What passed between them has never been recorded; Gorvain's only comment, made to the Magos Dominus council three days later, was: "The Inquisition understands the principle of plausible ignorance. We have given them a gift. Do not insult them by asking them to acknowledge it." His own words, spoken to younger Lexmechanics who questioned the concealment: "Truth is not lies. It is simply the selection of which lights to shine and which to leave dark. The Omnissiah approves of both the illumination and the shadow."

The Skitarii of Kaldrath Sekundus number 187,000 across four operational macroclades, each subdivided into the standard three cohorts and twelve maniples per cohort—a force recruited by annual levy on the menial workforce, compulsory conversion of the severely injured, and a continuing volunteer stream from workers who understand augmentation as advancement. The ring has no capacity for long-term training; new Skitarii are combat-effective within twenty-eight days of conversion, their tactical doctrine burned directly into their neural-augmetics through the Canticles of the Omnissiah. The preferred Doctrina Imperative is the Conqueror Imperative, a melee-aggressive doctrine suited to the ring's internal architecture: close-quarter manufacturing sectors, narrow maintenance corridors, and the need to suppress unrest among the menial workforce with overwhelming force at arm's reach. The Corpus-Skitarii conversion here emphasizes electrical augmentation—all Skitarii receive neural-shock implants capable of delivering non-lethal paralysis discharge, a tool for crowd-control as much as combat. Rangers are drawn from workers with hunting or tracking experience in the ring's lower sections; they pursue single targets across months or years, following xenos-contamination or heretical activity through the ventilation-shafts and structural voids until the mark is terminated or captured for interrogation.

Killclade Ionid 5-Flux – A Sicarian Ruststalker unit of forty-eight operatives, named for the designation of the tertiary power-conduit they emerged from during their conversion. They are specialists in assassinating heretical Magos-rank figures; their success rate is eighty-seven percent across seventeen confirmed contracts. The clade signature is the presence of a single orange-trimmed servo-skull, captured from an unknown source, that scouts ahead of their strike-teams.

The Luminous Princes – A Pteraxii winged-clade of sixty-three operators, recruited almost entirely from menials with previous void-exposure experience. They conduct drop-assault operations on hostile void-installations, their augmetic wings fitted with capacitor-batteries that allow sustained electrical discharge during flight. The ring considers them second only to the Colossus itself as symbols of the Corpuscarii faith.

Kaldrath Sekundus fields a standing complement of 34 Onager Dunecrawlers—the four-legged walkers that serve as the ring's backbone of close-support fire—supplemented by 47 Ironstrider Ballistarius platforms and a mixed cohort of 156 Kataphron Breachers held in reserve for internal-security operations and manufactorum defense. The heavy armour is painted in ochre-yellow with orange-striped trim, patterns that serve both ritual identification and practical heat-management in the ring's thermally hostile environment. The ring lacks the production capacity to maintain a full Ordinatus, but it maintains in reserve a unique weapon designated the Fulcrum Ascending, a single-build graviton-focusing platform constructed around salvaged T'au technology and assembled in secret over a forty-three-year period. It has never been fielded in documented conflict, though Kaldrath's auditors list it in maintenance reports as "undergoing diagnostic evaluation." Its existence is known only to the inner council of the Magos Dominus.

Kaldrath Sekundus hosts no resident Titan Legion; instead, it serves as the primary maintainer and ammunition-supplier for Legio Atarus, the Firebrands, a formation of the Collegia Titanica seated at the nearby forge world Atar-Median. Legio Atarus maintains 23 God-machines of various classes and rotates them through Kaldrath's repair dockyards on a twenty-month cycle. The Legio's Princeps carry direct authority over their own forces; they answer only to the Collegia Titanica's hierarchy and the Mars-based Fabricator-General. Kaldrath's role is supplier and artifex, not commander. The relationship has held stable for 8,400 years, and the annual tithe-obligation in armour-plate and ammunition has created an economic dependency that binds the two worlds together as firmly as any treaty.
